Do you work on your own cars or bring them in for maintenance and service?
If you work on your own than I say to hell with it get a e46 should be simpler. If you can do some stuff like suspension, oil change, smaller things like that. Get yourself a e90. 330i or 335i. Pass on the 325, and only get a 328 if its a super great deal.
