I'm back...
M3 had been sitting for 3 years.

Been racing too much

what is the best bang for the buck intake- fleabay or other?
my m3 is just a smg vert so no huge value. I can be cheap. Have very fast car- so i don't care if intake isn't perfect (CSL ones$$)

buying cheap megan exhaust and want to hear some intake too for what will just be a weekend car once a month or so.

So many options - and honestly, they're all about the same. Remove the resonator box and replace with cone filter and attaching hardware. Pick your brand.
I went with afePower as it's the only one CARB compliant, and I'm in CA. But if you're not in CA, any kit with a cone filter is about the same, despite all the wild claims. It's not a huge performance booster, but does improve the sound on acceleration.
