trying to find out which brand of amp would be best/compatible with BSW stage 1. It doesn't seem like bsw will be releasing an e46 amp any time soon, and i want more oomph now!

This is a four channel amp, right? Did you wire the front and rear channels in parallel (for the eight total speaker circuits)? Also, did you use any crossovers? I thought the factory amp has built in crossovers to prevent low frequencies from passing to the midranges and tweeters.

I think the pioneer amp has built in crossovers. I had a professional shop install it so Im not sure about all the details but I can control all the fader and balance settings properly thru my pioneer headunit.

I found this review on this amp. It has the most comprehensive specs and whatnot. looks very good on paper. I'll definitely look into this..

the Pioneer web site is pretty lean on details, but it does mention it has internal crossover, and independent gain controls to balance things out.
