About to pull the trigger on a set of Bavsound speakers, are they worth it or is there a better option.
This will be for my sons 325i with basic sound system.

Thanks guys, so I guess the other option is rewire the whole car and add new system?
The car definitely needs speakers, it does have some oem and the past previous owner left me some new in the box crappie Kenwood speakers.
We did upgraded to a avin avant 4 loaded which we love but he needs speakers.

I can definitely do the wiring but I'm not an expert when it comes to sound system configuration, I would need guidance there.
What would be a nice sound system for about$500 or less?

Would like to add an amplifier if that fits within the budget, if its a bit more its ok.

I decided to go with something different like something Crutchfield offers but have no idea on what to pick. I would like to add an amplifier and a sub, nothing crazy. This will be a Christmas gift for my son but I don't know where to start.
I have about $500 budget, not sure if this would be enough including the amp and sub, but if not I could add that later.

Hello everyone, I was about to pull the trigger on a new set of speakers from bavasound for my son's 2002 325i but decided against it because I was told I could do better for the same price.

The car definitely needs speakers, it does have some OEM and the previous owner left me some new in-the-box crappie Kenwood speakers and it still sounds awful, to be honest, and I'm not even considering myself an audiphile guy.

I remember him telling me that he like the music to be crystal clear or something like that with some bass, not too much so I guess we don't need an amp and sub. He said once that he likes how the sound system on our 2017 ford explorer sounds.

What would be a nice sound-clear system for about $500 +/-???

I went and check Crutchfield and suggested speakers but have no I idea what would be the best within that budget.

I was chatting with one of their sales rep and suggested this Infinity Reference REF-6530cx

So what would you guys think will be the best setup with that budget?

Thanks for the input guys, so I decided just to upgrade the speakers after most suggestions I have gotten, I don't mind splicing wiring or doing a bit of mods so I can go with aftermarket speakers. I started a new thread in the electronic section to see what most people will recommend.

Crutchfield is what I'm using to see what works but still, I'm not sure what would be a good setup for the money.
