I've searched but i cant find out how every one else un chiseled their front axel nuts? I used a chisel but honestly it looks like im just mashing the metal down towards the base of the nut as opposed to bending it back out........i dont know if mine were severely bent in, but they look really bad, and i have been chiseling for quite some time now :(

also, i just went out to buy a 36mm socket, and it doesnt seem to fit 100% snug, i have to hold the socket on straight with my hand while i use my body and other arm to push on the breaker bar........aka not working at all, anybody else? the socket just slips off if i try to use 2 hands........also its a crafts man......

I had a little trouble, if I remember right I think I started with a small chisel and maybe even a flat head screwdriver to get a gap started, then nailed it with the big one.

Did you get a 12 point 36mm? I found mine at sears so its probably the same one. It was not a snug fit, but it engaged the nut real well and I had no fears of stripping the nut.

ok, so update. I called my mechanic (on good terms with them, because i worked there when i was in high school (junior in college now) and even though they were closing they said to come on over. Got there and they used an air wrench to get that sucker off. Broke those tabs right off without any chiseling (despite what i attempted lol) then he tightened them by hand (using a long ass breaker bar) and when i told him my breaker was only a foot and a half he said i could use his for the weekend!! how cool is that! I am very happy now
