i have a crashed 2004 318i with a aux input radio and just bought a bluetooth adapter (jie rui bt 5908) and just now found out you need the radio with the mode button, i have a 2001 325ci and apparently this was introduced in 2002, i wanted to ask if it is possible to take out the radio from the 2004 318 sedan and put it in my 2001 325ci

We’ll, not quite. The earlier head units have 2 radio frequency inputs- AM & FM. The later head units have a single radio frequency input for both AM & FM. Search this forum to find the cable that combines AM & FM into a single cable.
