A complete turbo system for $4k? no way...Ill have to see that shiit to believe it.
Why is that hard to believe? Turbo kits don't cost THAT much to make/put together. Just need to get a manifold made and intercooler piping done.

I mean the only reason the superchargers are so much is because we are getting RIPED OFF!

With all due respect, unless you have engineered a specialized kit for a relatively small market yourself. Tried to produce, market and sell that kit, and maintained a business with all the necessary overhead, etc. Again, all for a relatively small market.

Unless you have done it, you have no clue what you are talking about...

Why gon't you go out and "just get a manifold made and intercooler piping done".

Then buy the components (intercooler, turbo, oil lines, fasteners, gaskets, hoses, injectors, etc).

Oh, and don't forget about how you are going to TUNE it. And make sure you do it right (which is very unusual).

Do all that, and then get back to me about how much of a rip-off BMW forced induction kits are...

I haven't been around this board, or any boards for that matter, as of late. With that said, it's nice to see you here as well as BF Steve.

Of course, you know I'm still waiting on the Stimpee E46 kit ;) :D

Actually I have, the components are not that expensive realativly speaking. Intercooler piping is not that hard to have done....I guess it's who you know to bend $50 in pipe. I have talked with a company about building a lower cost header (less then supersprint) for the E46 and a turbo manifold would not be so difficlult at that point.

The main difficulty is the enigne managment....I think that there needs to be an adjustible air/fuel tie in unit simular to the Apexi SAFC which has been extremely susessful in Japanesse turbo tuning(up to a point of course). But I don't know about how acepting the BMW ECU would be.

I fully understand the buisness side of design, production, and marketing of a product....I do this almost everyday, but I STILL think IMO that for 6-7 thousand bucks for a non upgradable 60 extra HP is a rip off....I don't care how much money I have. These superchargers include no more parts then another simular style supercharger but cost 2 grand more.

I hope this turbo kit is legit and turns out great.....

Remember this is just my opinion!
(and damn guys don't hate so much!)
