ATF cooler thermostat

Is this broken? Or is it supposed to be like this? I am trying to fit a new expansion tank, but it’s a shit show trying to get it all the way on.

I wiggled it a little bit, and it came loose. I guess it’s nothing to do about that?

It's broken. Replace it.

2x - broken.

They always break taking ET out, replace w something good quality.

The ATF thermostats usually break on removal of ET. Use pliers to pull the rest of it up and out & replace.

Over here "CoolXpress" is the OE brand if you don't go genuine bme.
