I'm getting it. It's a (relatively) great price.

Everyone's spending small fortunes buying intakes, exhausts and eeprom flashes for a few HP. Take that same money and get some real squirt for your $!!

thats what im saying...i dont understand why people are paying $2000 for exh/intake/chip for like maybe 20 hp...this is only 5k for at least 100 hp gain...to each his own and i respect those who dont want to go so extreme....but i am getting excited thinking about making my 323 a 13 second car....nothing beats boost...nothing...and a FMIC is the ultimate fvck you to other cars...not trying to be the fastest car in town, just dont ever wanna lose to a honda/infiniti/saturn etc....Alex did u already order it? im calling jon on monday....

No, I haven't ordered it. I'm waiting to hear back from a local guy who can tune the obd after the install.

I'm definitely getting it though. I've spoken to Jon and Alan about it. Samir is also pro ASA. The units have been available in Europe for some time now (over a year at least).

Good luck!

See the link on this site under classifieds - group buys.

It's being sold in the USA in NC by GSM.

Call Jon. He's more than happy to chat about it.

Also, seach ASA or ASA superchargers on this site.

Ill be honest with you guys. I have seen the kit installed in person and it looks like a GHETTO setup. Its not a clean install at all. Tubes and wires everywhere. Cabrioguys car was out of commission for 2 months getting the install and to my knowledge its still not tuned yet. The upside to all this is, Cabrioguys car was smoking E36 M3's like crazy compliments of the supercharger and my 3.15 diff.

I would honestly wait for AA's kit. Seen it in person and I have grown to appreaciate AA's superior craftsmanship and engineering. Either way......its up to the individual. Why rush something.....wait it out and do it right, not saying that the ASA kit isnt right. Good luck and next time I see Cabrioguy Ill let you know what the Butt Dyno says when I go for a spin.

PEACE

I'm still thinking about a supercharger but I'm waiting on more info on the AA one before I decide which way to go. RMS is pretty much out of the question. I could also go for a 330 engine swap for about the same or even a little less and then get some Renn-sport power kits applied for the NA true HP. I've always wondered if you can still do a supercharger after getrting the Renn-sport power kits:dunno:

Hmmmm...

I was ready to go, but now you've got me wondering.

Cabrioguy said it was a clean install. No mention of a two month hurdle.

Alex - do you have a step? I'm thinking of it too but not in the GB timeframe and I do have concerns about how the step tranny will hold up to the power increase (I have a 330 as well)...

Got any info?

Nope. 5 spd.

They have an extra blow off or bypass valve option for auto's.

I guess you'll possibly be in a position to look at the AA Rotrex kit and compare, if you're buying later.

I have an ASA kit coming in this week .I am getting my system installed by German Speed Merchants in Wilmington,NC. This is where the group buy is being run.I have talked to Jon several times and I feel quite confident that this is a great setup.
Concerning cabrioguy's setup,I SERIOUSLY doubt that he has a ghetto setup.I know him personally and the guy wouldn't accept such a setup. He didn't have his system installed by GSM,and has been working on getting his tuned perfectly. He is getting great customer service from GSM and ASA to help get the system optimized. Why don't you ask cabrioguy yourself?

I wa sposting my opinion. I dont think the ASA kit is as CLEAN as it should be. I have seen the AA kit and it looks a lot tidier under the hood.

As for the 2 month install.....its his shop, REDLINE, that is taking their sweet time and the fact that he needed a reprogrammed ecu. Like I said.....there is nothing wrong with the kit especially the pertformance you get, but I was stating my opinion that it LOOKED Ghetto under the hood. But how often will the hood be popped anyways.

Good luck with whatever you decide to go with. I have seen Cabrioguy's car in person several times because we use the same slow shop that work on our cars, REDLINE.

In fact Cabrioguy has my 3.15 diff in his car and I took his 3.46. Do a write up once you get everything done.

PEACE!

mt3ch,I am aware that he has had difficulty with his local shop on the whole deal.I certainly don't expect my install to be ghetto in any way, especially when I will be driving 12 hours or so to go get it done properly,or what I expect to be proper!Your opinion of the kit is appreciated and I will be keen on the appearance of it as well, after reading your post.
By the way, your car looks great with those Magics. How about emailing me a better pic of your car ?Trade Visions for Magics?Hehe

i have 100% confidence in ASA kit...talk w/ Alan and you will be sold...think about it....if he did have a 2 month install and the kit looked cheezy, why would he be pushing for us to go in on the group buy....says its fast as hell, super quiet, and the reliability of this kit far surpasses any of the other kits...theres only one reason i havent ordered it yet......oh yeah, the 5 g's i need!!!!

There's always a risk when you buy something of this nature, especially when the sole dealer is far away.

But, I also spoke with both Jon and Alan and got very good vibes from each of them. Also, Samir (who has a good rep on this board and has been kind enough to have email with me) seems to think the ASA product is a good one.

The wires are due, I imagine, to the two "cheater" boxes which replace the reprogramming of the computer's. You could make an argument as to which is better, but if it works, it works.

I'm interested in the Rotrex kit from AA. Apparently they're a reputable outfit based on feedback from those who've had work done there. However, this kit is available now at a relatively bargain price, which the AA kit is not.

I really appreciate mt3ch weighing in on this. He has first hand experience (which seems to be in short supply sometimes - there's a lot of "I heard" or "supposedly" or "here's what I think, but I really don't know") and gave his opinion, which I can respect.

I wish everyone the best with whatever they do.

You can be sure I'll post if I get this installed... : )
