I don't think normal driving schools will teach you how to do "bling bling drifts", they would teach you the best way to handle your car.

Ya....go somewhere that you take a lot of backroads to get to, and if there are a lot of tracks there then your probably in a danger zone.....cops know what goes on
Tried that too. One of my friends got arrested. :thumbdwn: I got away though.

Los Angeles used to be from San Diego. I'm trying to go back to San Diego. Yeah back in the day we would tear up the mountain roads at night. My buddies and I gave new meaning to midnight racing. :D :eeps: We did autox and goto the track but sometimes we just went out late at night to go driving.

FYI if you drive fast enough on a twisty mountain road, the cops cannot catch up. I don't condone this of course. Don't follow my example. I'm bad. :pimpin:

Before you go off to a parking lot to teach yourself "alternative driving skills", go to a real driving school to learn basic car control. Join BMWCCA for $35 and they will automatically hook you up with your local BMWCCA chapter, probably the Buckeye Chapter. Sign up for a 2 day driving school for about $270. Buckeye Chapter usually runs schools at Mid Ohio and Putnam Park.

BSR Racing in Summit Point, W.V.
I liked it better than the Skip Barber school. You will get on the skid pad but don't go there thinking they'll teach you cool drifting stuff. Racing, car control and dynamics, accident avoidance, yes!
Just as fun and faster too.
They have FATT (Friday at the Track) where you can take your own car on the track, eventually, with enough seat time you get to go out by yourself.

some very cool links here guys....thanks for the info:thumbup:

I took the Skip Barber one day racing school this summer. It was fun, but I really didn't learn a great deal. Fun and quick way to spend $800. I just wish there were some tracks closer than 3+ hrs from me....
