Hi mates,

I thought about opening a place where everyone can post deadtimes / lagtimes and general data about suitable fuel injectors for (forced induction) engine builts.

Even though the Siemens MSxx ECUs are like an open book now, there is no collection with different possibilities for going the FI road.

Please include the following values when posting injector data:

The 42lb/hr Bosch "green giant" is a popular choice. Fits the fuel rail and EV1 electrical connectors perfectly. I can't speak to whether they are too tall or not on the stock manifold, but they fit perfectly with the ESS twin screw supercharger kits.

Any of you guys using the Siemens Deka 6900371 on the stock M54 intake manifold? I'm curious about the injector's spray angle, if there is any at all.

On the M54, BMW had injectors made with a 25 degree spray angle to point the fuel directly at the back of the intake valves.
When you put an aftermarket injector into the M54B30 intake manifold, it sprays fuel at the port floor, not at the back of the intake valves. This makes tuning part throttle tip-in, and even idle very difficult.

Leonardo how did you came up with these dead times, since they are a little different than rb01's posted above.
Also how are these injectors working for you overall? Do they have a spray angle similar to the stock ones or they stray straight down?

Ahh too late ive bought them a while ago... what problems did you have?
Lean codes on some rebuilt ones from trying to be the cheap bastard that I like to be. Then I had some non VDO ones, can't remember the brand, sorry, but my ass told me I wasn't getting way top end power. Finally laid out my dough for the VDO ones and I've got the progressive power build all the way to the top now

Which VDO injectors did you end up with?
I've tried Bosch and Siemens DEKA injectors both with extended noozles, they worked fine at high revs but they are not smooth down at 1-2K RPM.

Green giants are good but not suitable for E85. 123 are expensive. I am using a version of the 123 common in Fords, the 298. Ill post the latencies I extrapolated but I did rescale the voltage from 10 to 17v I believe

I've got a question about injector scaling. I am going turbo and started the tuning process to learn. I have Bosch green giants that are listed on the wiki. I have the spreadsheet with all the values needed but they are rated for 39.15psi. I know the stock fuel pressure is 50.76psi so do I divide 50.76 by 39.15 to get 1.296 and then divide or multiply every value in the spreadsheet by 1.296? I realized that it may cause issue for others thinking you can just plug in the numbers from the wiki. Thanks in advance.


I also did maf scaling using the PMAS transfer function tool. I only edited ID_MAF_TAB. Is there anything else I need to edit? I modified both x and y value axis to match the excel spreadsheet exactly. I set the multiplier in the excel spreadsheet to 0.944 so that the voltage and airflow is corrected to a max limit of 2048 kg/hr.

Does anybody know about Bosh 0 280 155 759? Was used on 1.8 turbo Volvo and was installed to some of ESS kits(m54b30).
Just know - 330cc at 3.0 bar
Bosch EV6CL fuel injector
Long size injector
Jetronic port
4 hole nozzle
Conical spray pattern

Flow rates @ 43.5 psi / 3 bar
31.4 lb per hour
237 G per min. (N-Heptane)
330 cc per min

15.95 Ohm resistance
100% fit to m54b30

Maybe somebody have settings? I am interested because current injectors is very cheap!
