Functionally worth it, not under regular driving conditions. On a track, yes.
I am actually more interested in sub frame connectors that run the length of the car. I added a pair to my camaro back in the day, and it definetly helped get more weight to the rear wheels on take off and stiffened the frame. Plus it was another jack point which was nice.
