CI BY FAR....THE COUPE IS DOPE-TASTIC MAN
That has to be the question of the day!
How can you even think of asking such a question. The answer will be biased, regardless of the reason. Most people say if single, why not coupe, if married get sedan. I am single and have a sedan, cause in my opinion it looks 10 times better than the coupe 330ci. I don't mean to be rude, but you can only answer this. What looks better to you?

I'm Single, and I've a Silver Sedan. Was thinking about the sedan just to fulfill that "young man = cool man = coupe" thing. But then since both of them look nice (IMHO) w/ the coupe better w/ the colored side moldings, I chose sedan becos it's simply much more convenient when you've to put stuff and just in case having friends/family sitting at the back in that 2% of the times.

Once I saw the coupe I didn't feel that the 4-door sedan could compare. Due to the rear doors the sedan just doesn't have the graceful lines of the coupe. The sedan is a more practical car with the ability to put grandma and the kids in the back seat - the coupe is handicapped in that area -- but your question was eye appeal, not practicality.

chose 4 doors cause it just looks a little more classy/mature IMO.....can't put my finger on exactly what it is, i just love the shape....the coupe looks weird to me from certain angles...and the cic looks weird to me from the side.
I used to hate my front bumper, but with time i fell in love with it and love it (very clean/simple)much more then the coupes....Hey people have different tastes....I'm just waiting to get my rieger fron spoiler and then ill be like WOOT WOOT:yikes:

I think the Ci is one of the best looking cars on the roads today, still.
things in its favor over sedan:
slightly less common
slightly sportier
painted moldings
front corners are rounded which looks better vs 99-01 sedans
interior trim pattern looks better
personal opinion of course. I would never have been upset with getting a sedan but I was glad that I got the opportunity to get the coupe.

I HATE the frameless windows of the 330Ci. Wind noise from the windows is TERRIBLE for a $40k car when at freeway speeds.
On the other hand I HATE the black moldings on the 330i. I mean WTF was BMW thinking? It would cost them how much extra to have painted moldings on the Sedan? Heck, a BASE model Civic DX comes with black molding, but a Civic LX or EX has PAINTED moldings!!!
My Accord was a sedan so I wanted a coupe when I bought my 2nd car.
Looks wise I like them about the same (Except for the black molding) for the 2000-2002 models. I don't like the new look of the 2003 sedans though. :sad:

In my opinion I like both, yet what I really like on the 330i is that obviously it has four doors, the new look on the 2002 front end looks sharper I think, the rear light configuration is much nicer with the solid white going across and the light itself looks newer and better especially at night. I can tell immediately whether a 330i is the new model. I also love the front and rear bumpers on the 330i SP. I can agree with some of you on the black mouldings. I disliked them. As a matter of fact I just got them painted about month ago, as you can see from the pic. Wow, what a difference! The car looks a solid silver. Nevertheless the 330ci has its own distinctive styling and also looks tight.

but to answer your question, i initially bought a 325ci b/c i've always loved the shape of the coupe (& loved type 44's
)but ended up selling it cuz i needed 4 doors (& wanted the extra 0.5 liters:lmao: ); if you must get the sedan, get a jet black one (i think it looks sharper than the other colors-although i like alpine white too)
