is this a good deal, brand new by the way? it has a built in dvd player and the brain is good as well. anyone in here runnin pioneer or this setup? let me know, any info is apreciated. thanks

much cheaper than what i paid when it first came out like 2 years ago.........i almost paid 2 K installed from the store itself........so thats a very good price for u.....check to see however if the receiver u r adding is the Dolby digital one.

DOUBLE check on that before u purchase it.........if u want true dolby digital, then u need the 9000R decoder and a center channel spkr

if u however go with the new AVH-P7500 dvd......u dont have to worry about anything at all......:thumbup:

i just checked mine and i also have the same thing that u r gonna get, the Avm 8000R.......but some one told me about the 9000R, so even i need some confirmation on that............do i need to swap my 8000R brain for the 9000R one to get the dolby digital:dunno:

yes, i believe you do need the 9000r to get dolby digital. i went with the alpine iva 800 instead. i will be adding the dva in dash dvd/vcd/cd player to it. it ended up being cheaper anyway.
