Here is another M3 Scam?? It says the guy is located in the Bay Area, sent him an e-mail. Here is his reply. The car is located in Germany and he wants to go through escrow. I replied and said I will be in Germany and if I can see the car, and pay him in full. Wonder what he will say.

Hello,

Thank you for your interest in purchasing my car.

I am the first owner of the car; I bought it directly from an
authorized BMW dealer. The car is as new, with no scratches and it was never
involved in an accident. The paint looks just as new, the car was always
garaged. I sell
the car because I will have to go to Dubai soon. As options the car has
all premium packages, premium sound, navigation system, bixenon
headlights etc.

I am located in Hamburg, Germany.
The car is US street legal, does not need any conversion and it meets
all DOT and EPA regulations. This is the reason that I want to sell the
car in USA because german people does not like it prepared this way.
The other offers that I have are also from the US. The warranty is
valid in USA and it is extended international until 09/05, from bumper to
bumper.

Since this is a serious deal in which I sell a valuable car I want to
use an escrow company to finish this deal.

The procedure is: we agree on details of the deal (price, time of
shipping), you
make the payment to the escrow company, escrow notifies me and I will
ship the
car. All you have to do from now on is to take the car and register it
and notify escrow to release the funds to me.

You can make the payment to escrow co 30% in advance and come to my
location to
see the car and take it back with you in the States or you can make the
full payment to escrow in which case I will ship the car via Lufthansa
airplane cargo insured. The shipping is around $2600 and I will pay for
it.

The 30% amount or the full payment are fully refundable if for any
reason you do
not accept the car or if the car has scratches, hidden defects, or it
is not as advertised. I will pay for the shipping back to my location if
you reject the car.

Thank you and I hope that you will have the pleasure to drive this car.

Regards,
Michael

The VIN you supplied, "WBSBR91000EX12456", is invalid. Please check the number for accuracy and try again below.

- The letters "I", "O", and "Q" never appear in a VIN.
- The VIN must be exactly 17 characters in length.
- The CARFAX database contains information for cars manufactured from 1981 through the present.

"All premium packages"? theres only one...:banghead: and when someone is selling there car and listing the options for a possible buyer they do no use the term "etc..." you list them for the person. first, this person should learn the options, or at least pull up the bmw website, its not that hard, then he should list them and not act so non-shalant (i dont think i spelled that right...:dunno: ) one more thing, he should learn to speak english better.:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

check out this picture, look at all the cars in the background, i thought these pics were in a driveway? another thing, it could be due to angle and light, but the two interior pics seem to show one w/ shadow trim and the other with aluminum, am i right?

also one pic has the hardtop convetible (glossy smooth top) while this pic appears to have the fabric top :dunno:
