Thanks for taking a look at this post. I have a 2004 330i, 6 Speed with 144,000+ miles, original clutch. I have been noticing that when up shifting, after letting off the clutch and getting back into the gas at full throttle, the RPM's jump, then down some, and then return. Seems to happen 2-3, 3-4, 4-5, and it can be sporadic. It almost feels like I left my foot on the clutch a little or when you are driving and automatic transmission and push the accelerator to full throttle. Not sure if it is the clutch stating to slip or something else. Here are some links to a couple videos I took with my phone shifting from 3 to 4.

Sounds like you are just starting to get a bit of clutch slippage, be gentle and it should last a while but be ready to install a replacement. Any oil leakage at the rear of the engine?

Clutch is done. You're going to need a new flywheel now too.

Very unlikely chance that a leaking rear main seal or input shaft seal will get oil on the disk.

DISA and DME

Seems to happen near 4K RPM. Maybe check the DISA? It operates at 4K.

At least you can safely rule out the infamous 2800 RPM stutter!

Have you ever updated the DME software?
Thanks for the reply! I rebuilt the DISA with the German Auto Solutions kit in May of 2014, but I will check it out to see if there are any issues now. Only DME update was when it was under warranty years ago.

I'll check for leakage, I know the valve cover gasket is leaking some. Thanks!
