i have a 2003 4 door 325i, its 5 speed manual. today i brought it to bmw for servicing, and they lent me a 2003 4 door 320i, automatic. so while i was driving on the highway, i noticed that at 120km/h, the 320 was revving at 2600 rpm's and the engine was really quiet, couldn't even hear it. while in my 325, at 120km/h, the engine is revving at 3100 rpm's, and the engine is louder. both cars in 5th gear. i was wondering if this is normal, considering, my engine is bigger, and i got more power. beause to me it doesnt make sense.

thanks

Yes it makes sense, bigger engines are most often louder. As well as the car revving higher.
