Nope.. you'll even have a better handling care due to less understeer.

But people that usually have 8.5 rims, want atleast 235's on there.

The offset is not tire related. .

People go for 235's on 8.5's for rim protection and looks. The M68's weigh approx the same, even though they are wider than the 96's, so that's a plus.

But as far as fitment, it should fit on there just fine, call up tirerack just incase you need a second opion on things.
