2006 M5 0-62mph time *NOT* 4.7 seconds

For those of you concerned about the fact that BMW has been publishing 0-62mph times of "only" 4.7 seconds for the upcoming M5, Automobile Magazine reported that those times are based on using the car in its 400hp mode. According to them putting the car in 500hp mode drops the published 0-62mph time by 0.7 seconds, which using my meager and rusty math skills would mean it does 0-62mph in 4.0 seconds in full power mode.

"With the full 500 horsepower under your right hoof, top speed is unchanged, but it takes 0.7 second off the claimed 0-to-62-mph time and 3.6 seconds from the 0-to-125-mph figure (18.0 instead of 14.4 seconds). "

I hope this allays any fears the naysayers had out there. Here's the link to the article.
