[54vex]

Hi all, new guy here, my wife's 54 plate e46 has developed a tapping/rattling noise from the engine but its only noticeable above 1500/2000 rpm and not noticeable when on idle /not under load

Anyone help as to what it could be?

Currently got Mobil super 3000 5w40 as that's what was recommended to me but not sure what it had before I did an oil change on it and the noise was there before I did that
