Hello there. So I have been doing a 2jz swap into my 2004 325ci and keep running into issues. Than companies not taking calls or responding so I have to modify brand new parts. This time it's the PMC adapter for 2jz to 250g transmission. Now half the holes don't even line up. Anyone else that had installed PMC adapters have the same issue? If so did you drill and modify it yourself or did the company finally talk to you? This adapter kit was pretty spendy so frustrated I can't get any tech help for it. They also sent me the wrong clutch as mine is the 22 spline shaft not the 10 spline. So I can't even get ahold of them for an exchange on the clutch. Risk it and drill/tap brand new parts? Or keep calling them everyday?

Looking at that homemade expansion tank set up, I wonder if that's why the motor was toast.

One review I saw on that kit mentioned having to modify, but didn't specify what was.

to DriftHQ - as a last resort if you've tapped out calls and emails, you can take the social media route and make some noise there, no one likes bad PR on their page.

So they called me today which was awesome guy was out of the office for a while. Apparently I have a getrag 220g from what he says? He said it only came on Europe models. Everything checks out that this is original motor and transmission so not sure. Maybe this car originally was from Canada? But their adapter and clutch is for a 250g or ZF transmission which mine isn't. Does this sound correct or are they blowing smoke up my butt so they don't have to send me new stuff? I thought I had a getrag 250g when I did my research.

Wow, this is going to be interesting project for sure. 2J (I assume turbocharged?) in E46. What kind of chassis stiffening, diff setup are you planning? That engine is going to twist that chassis like a banana, lol. Than the poorly designed rear floor needs some serious bracing, otherwise bye bye floor. You will test the strenght of 250g Getrag beyond it´s limits. Just saying, because some of the above moentioned problems are real even with stock-ish power levels abd factory setup.

Haha yes there will need to be a lot of bracing and extra material added to this bad boy. Yup will be turbo charged. Doing full rear subframe drop and a M3 installed with M3 diff. When it's out inspect and weld in the plates for the beefier subframe install points. I do hope the car holds together I will be testing it hard. More and more I deal with this newer 250g and 22 spline issues seems like a hassle. Need to start looking for a ZF if I can find for cheap or do the T56 like I intended to do in the future.

So been back and forth with drifthq on this adapter plate setup. Some of the things they tell me to do seems like they say anything just to end a conversation. The latest is the guy told me to turn my transmission sideways to the other holes because it's universal. He also said some bmw transmissions sit sideways like this. When I line it up with the next set of holes which all don't line up again anyways the transmission sits at a 45 degree angle. Now transmission mount doesn't have a chance of working and looking at shift linkage looks like shifting into first will most likely shift it into 5th gear. Idk if anyone else have delt with these guys but all info they give me seems like these guys don't care to fix issues. Looks like going with a different transmission setup because it's a joke. I want the motor and transmission in so I can finish this thing up.
