As someone planning to go through this in the near future, I appreciate your attention to detail and documentation. Just to be clear, that chase bay line is a complete master to slave live, deleting the hardline you installed on page 1? If so that is very tempting for the price.

On a side note, the e30 project I purchased quite a few months back was goal #1 before starting this S54 swap.
I’m sure you’re aware of what you have there but that is quite the e30 in late model glacier. I sold my late model cold weather packaged lagoon vert and hardtop seperate in mid year 2020 at what I thought was a fair price and really wish I had waited a year. Hardtop has now moved into the 3k+ range alone, yours looks to be rough around the edges but still a rare rare part. Should really help the swap when you sell.

Your progress here is, as always, impressive. Keep up the good work! Wish I knew the 16 fastener trick, I may have saved one of my headlamp washer shields from my ham handed wrath.

Edit: I get a chuckle how the thread title changes are so drastic with you, most of our treads are minor then you're out here droppping major plot twists.
