does anyone have this done? i read somewhere that if you put 19s on your car, it lifts it and makes it look bad, therefore a need to drop the car. is this true? any pics?

I had 19's on my stock suspension and it looked like I was driving a 4x4. Dont kid yourselves guys, you know it looks like a jeep.


19's = immediate drop.

if you get 19s you will most likely want a drop. most people aren't happy at stock height with the larger wheels.

I have the sport suspension w/ 19s. I know I have to drop the car and I will after I have my kit installed and I can see how low I can go and still make it up my driveway. It’s pretty steep.

I learned that the hard way after I dropped my old project car and slapped a body kit on, I thought I was pretty cool until I got home and couldn’t make it up the drive way. lol I had to take the front bumper off to go up and had to purchase coil-overs to lift it a bit. Man, that sucked!

if you have a stock sedan without sport package then itll look bad but since these are on coupes they already have sport suspension

does anybody have pictures of the regular sedan suspension with 19s? Because I'm about to get rims in January but I won't until I can get enough money for a drop if it looks really bad without the drop. I forgot that the sedans had different suspension....any pics of it? ALso, what exaclty do I need to get to drop my car a bit? Basically I want it to look good, but I still need to be able to drive my car without scratching/hitting the bottom on driveways, rams, speedbumps, potholes. I've never dropped a car before?

^^^if you want a slight drop go H&R sport or eibach prokit springs you can get a set off e46 for 175 if your lucky or even cheaper no need to buy a cupkit or coilovers itll give you a nice drop on 19s i have the sport springs and im planning on getting 19s, i wanted a nice drop but not to slammed to where i scratch a lot

My friend bought my old 18s, style 71, for his 328i and man it raised the car a lot (has reg. suspension). I guess it’s mainly a problem for sedans. His car does look better though with the new rims, much sportier.
