12v power source needed in center armrest area?
I am installing a tiny dvd player.

try running a wire from ur battery?
or see if u can get a long ass cigarette lighter with wire....Plug it in the cigarette lighter, or get the bmw flashlight adapter and then just tuck the wires in. i got neons goin to the back and front plus my radar detector all plugged in my flashlight switch....all wires tucked in and perfectly clean...not always the best way...but when bmw tries talking shyt to u like they tried with me, just tell them its all pluged in there....ok im rambling, sorry

if your car is pre-wired for the cell phone, you can tap into the wiring under the center console - check this website

yep. Look at that web page - the guy there has it all diagramed. There is a constant 12v, a switched 12v, and a ground. Lots of other goodies, too - but that should help you.
