Hello! New to the forum! Picked up a 1999 323i last night as a project, and I'm already here! (No complaints, I've been dying to get under a hood again!)
I've scoured the internet all over for this particular sound I'm hearing and I CANNOT figure it out. The best way I could describe the sound...
For the past few weeks I have noticed a whine coming from the front end of my 318Ci it starts at around 30mph and gets louder as the speed increases. The strange thing is if I turn the wheel left slightly while driving the noise eases off.. I would really appreciate some advice thank you
This sound ALWAYS occurs on "cold" startups in the morning and sometimes will linger in low RPM's all day when driving?
Anytime I'm at idle in drive (yes autotragic) it's even worse or sometimes not even there occasionally and I'm just confused why it would make this noise? :censor:
So when I turn my car off there's a strange popping kind of noise, and then a "whoosh" noise.
The car runs fine and idles fine so I don't understand what would be making these noises...
Video: Link(just incase video isn't working...)
All feedback is greatly appreciated, thank you!!:D

The engine is a 2.0 diesel.
Been to the local dealer and they didn't find out what it was...
Yesterday, I noticed that my car was making a sound like of like a squeaky/rusty bed spring. Mostly when I would maybe go around a corner or over some small bumps (not all bumps), or even a speed bump. It sounds like it might be the driver's side front tire. I don't know if it's...
