Hey guys, I am looking to upgrade my intake boots and I wanted to know what options are out there. All I can find as an upgrade over stock is the Mishimoto silicone boots, but they are all located in EU. After shipping the price is just outrageous. Anything will help, thank you!

Hello all, long time lurker and first(ish) time poster! I drive a 2005 330xi. So this past Sunday I spent about 2 hours replacing the lower intake boot (massive crack in it) as I was getting some nasty lean conditions. While I was in there I took out the ICV and cleaned it really good with...

Hi everyone, my 325ci is making a terribly loud hissing noise from behind the dipstick. Previously, the dealer had told me that the DISA needed to be replaced for $650. Yesterday I used the German Auto Solutions DISA repair kit and the car is still hissing. I installed everything properly and...

What is the difference among these parts. I was told that one of my intake components is torn, causing the Service Engine Soon indicator to go on. How do I look to find this tear?

I searched around a lot, and really surprisingly couldn't find any discussions about this anywhere, so figured I would ask. How much would you consider to be the correct amount to tighten the factory BMW hose clamps on the intake boots (Throttle, ICV, MAF)? I figure its between: A) With a...

The purpose of this post is to explain my diagnosis of the misfire problem my car developed. So my 2003 330xi threw a misfire code, and began to idle funny. I drove it home, and began to try to diagnose the problem. My code reader pulled a p1347 code. Misfire with fuel cutoff. I cleared the...

Is the larger vacuum hose from intake boot elbow connector the same size as the hose I've used during my fuel filter change to connect the fuel lines to the filter? Not the hose for the pressure regulator. I checked realoem, and the hose is listed under the same number as other parts so no size...

Yes, another whistle thread. Been looking through and I've heard that a whistle could either be the idler tension pulley or the air intake boot, but it doesn't exactly sound like that. I came out from work tonight and heard it start to whistle as I got in the highway. It's extremely faint -...

After reading various post on how dirty the ICV could get, I decided to take a look at mine. While furiously working on removing the horribly positioned hose clamps on the throttle body intake boot, I noticed that the line that runs to to the ICV off of the main air intake was just hanging in...

More often than not now I get a howling sound as my rpms rise. I have read some similar posts saying it is the intake boot. I attached this video I took on my to work this morning. Kinda hard to hear, but looking for some opinions. I visually inspected the elbow and it looks fine although I...

I was getting an SES light on my car saying that I was lean on banks 1 & 2 and I was previously blaming it on my Conforti intake, but after some advice from @mkodama I decided to disassemble the entire Intake for closer inspection to see if there might be a vacuum leak. I ended up finding a...

All regarding my 2000 323i 1 - My hood doesn't close flush. The rubber riser things are ALL the way down. Had to use a plyer to get them low. Helped 80% but need more. I did that with the Air box stuff out. BUT when i put it back, its up a little again. Its enough where the lever to unlatch the...

I got my 330i ZHP over the summer---Love it to death. Since then I have had numerous issues, in defense of the car, they all be wear and tear--control arm bushings, some belt and now a torn intake boot. The car is under the CPO and just hit 70,000k. A few weeks ago, I got a "Service Engine...
