    Alright so my brake light switch went bad on the car and I have replaced it. The problem now is when I turn the car on the brake lights aren’t on, but once the pedal is pushed the brake lights stay on...     Hey just bought a bmw e46 316i. Brake lights stay on all the time. what i have tried is removing the cable to the switch that was above the brake pedal and it still stays on. any ideas? could it still be the brake switch that's not working? very new to cars so if you have any suggestions...
