I replaced the trailing arm bushings on my 2002 330i today and I'm finished except for one bolt that I suspect that I've cross threaded. It's one of the three bolts on one side that hold the bracket to the body. The bolt turns easily and then binds completely with at least a 1/2-inch to go...

HELLO ALL....I've been trying to replace my oil filter housing gasket this past weekend and I've ran into a big problem... the damn alternator bolt :censor: I've removed all the bolts except for the 16mm long bolt on the bottom. I can turn the bolt with a breaker all day (I know it's turning)...

Hi everyone... So, in the latest chapter of my oil pan repair fiasco, I sheared the very last fastener I was torquing in place . Not sure how that's possible with a torque wrench set to a whopping 10 Nm, but it happened. Anyway, for a variety of reasons, I can't wait till Tuesday to...

Hey everyone, My e46 is a 2001 with 110k and I'm in the process of changing my ZF 5HP19 ATF. I was able to get the fill plug off so I proceeded to drain my transmission fluid which was very dirty. I then start unscrewing the 20 bolts that border the transmission pan and I came across one bolt...

I was doing the RTABS with my friend, when my trailing arm wouldnt drop low enough to make the clearance to press them out, I figured out that my aftermarket sway bar was too thick and hitting the axles, no big deal, I just had to remove the sway bar. But anyways, my friend thought it would be...

I started changing the belts and pulleys on my 2003 330i (88,000 mi, 60k on the belts). The bolt for the idler pulley felt cross threaded and was very difficult to remove. For better or for worse, I muscled it off and put on the new idler. The bolt was difficult to put back as well, so i took...

Need some advice on how to loosen my oil pan bolt. Seems that last time I changed my oil, I tightened it a bit too much and now im unable to loosen it. My dad told me that the heat and cold can cause the bolt to expand and tighten in even more. Any suggestions to loosen it up? Maybe heating it up?
