Originally shipped from Germany to California, then to Seattle. 1st owner 19K miles. 2nd owner 19K-46K. I'm the third owner and she now has 47K.
This car has been meticulously maintained it's entire life. I've known this vehicle since 2007 when the previous owner purchased it with 19K on it. The PO is a close personal friend, a certified master tech, BMW enthusiast and overall "car guy" with an affinity for detail. When the opportunity came to purchase the vehicle, I did not hesitate. For years I watched this car get babied and cared for like it was the last one on earth. This "garage queen" saw 1,900 or so miles each year, and only in nice weather mind you. In fact, us that knew the car hardly saw it without it's snug fit BMW cover, but when we did, everyone was in awe of its impeccable condition. Another one of my close personal friends, and a legend in Volkwagen/Audi Motorsport, previous owner of Bahn Brenner Motorsport, John Betz, saw this car one day and was absolutely blow away by it's conditioning, calling it a "unicorn" for it's showroom condition. Since I've owned it, there hasn't been much to do. I've had a new factory battery installed by BMW for good measure, and the Air Bags and DME programmed per an open recall. I also had it inspected. BMW of Seattle said that it's the cleanest one they have ever seen their shop. They could not find one thing wrong with the vehicle. A couple technicians even came out to comment on the cars insane condition. I've added new BMW all-weather floor mats (and have the original M3 carpeted floor mats tucked away to preserve the pedigree). The exhaust has been upgraded to what many suggest is the best aftermarket performance exhaust for the e46 M3 - Agency Power Exhaust with titanium tips (and the original exhaust is on hand). The stance and handling have been greatly aided courtesy of an Eibach Pro-Kit. Per the original window sticker that came with the car, this 2002 M3 Coupe was delivered in Titanium Silver Metallic ($475), the Premium Package ($3,200) which included Moonroof, Power Seats w/ Drivers Memory, rain-sensing windshield wipers, automatic headlight control, and black Nappa leather upholstery, and Adjustable seat back w/ lumbar ($500), Park distance control, Bi-xenon Headlights ($700), Harmon-Kardon Sound System ($675) - which is present, though the headunit has been modernized with an Eonon touch-screen display. 19" Alloy wheels were a $1,750.00 upgrade, though the car now wears Competition Sport wheels in matte black with fresh BMW 68mm center caps and new M wheel badges. Formula 1 fans, and track addicts, will enjoy the upgraded Sequential Manual Gearbox at $2,400. Of course this car gets up and goes, so the Gas Guzzler fee of $1,000 adds to the grand total and suggest list price of $57,245.00 when new. This car gets the royal treatment - wheels pulled for washing, ceramic wax and ceramic detail spray (yes, on the wheels), metal polish where needed, it hardly needs paint correction and has never been touched by a powered buffer. The leather gets conditioned and the engine bay stays spotless. It's really an amazingly clean car, and a blast to drive. Concours is a fitting description of this E46 M3. She's not currently for sale. She is irreplaceable.
