It was owned by a dude who wanted to get rid of it because he was moving to Canada to live and work. He asked $2000 and said there was a plethora of problems with the cooling system. He said mass line were blown and he couldn't figure out why the front passenger tire was leaking cuz there was nothing stuck in it. I test drive it and sure enough when we put water in it it run straight through to the ground. I told him I would be back the following night. I arrived the next night and there was a huge puddle on the passenger side floor board and the heater would not push hot air anymore. I was positive he has blown a heater core and told him as much. I told him there was mad problems for a $2000 car. I said "I'll give you $1400 cash fresh crisp $100 bills". I had my wife hold the money and fan it out in front of him. He said "deal". After over heating twice and a tow home from AAA. I got to work on it and there was nothing wrong with the cooling system. The reservoir just backed itself off it's Mount. So I pushed it back together. Put coolant in it. Replaced the valve stem pin on the passenger side front tire and mopped up the water on the passenger side floorboard, which I later figured out was caused by the previous owner leaving the window open after letting me test drive it and it has rained heavily that night. After doing these minor things this little car has done nothing but impress me. I always wanted a Bimmer and I still have the same giddy teenager feeling when I drive my car or see other sick BMW's. This girl is definitely my baby... Don't tell my wife that lol.
