This cable uses the correct OEM connector with locking tab to plug into the AUX port on the back of your stereo.       on my vert the HU mic works absurdely better than OEM, at the point that i never needed to use the one provied with HU or to use the adapter for oem mic.

      That would be a great option and worth trying out IMO. I'd love to go back to the factory mic, it worked better than the replacement and would look cleaner.

      that's for adding Aux input to OEM navigation, but i think that you can eventuially modify from female to male 3.5 jack and plug it into the HU,
      the connector seems to be similar to the one on the OEM mic wiring
