Fuel, Daniel and I tested a ignition cut launch control and blew my cats away just after a few seconds.

The first part's good to know, the second part isn't. Assuming I make the mod only happen in park/neutral and I only rev the car a few times, is it safe to assume that everything will be fine?

I've been wondering the same thing. I'm pretty sure if you drive around for a while, your cats mights get damaged. But if you code it so it only pops on park/neutral, I don't think that should cause too much damage.

Yea im running the popcorn mod on stock cats, res and straight thru borla muffler. Audible gurgle, burps and pop but still quite subtle. Like a focus/fiesta st subtle. But ive noticed that the cats do get red hot lol. Time for headers i guess

Edit:
Went back to a stock tune. Seems like some of the sheet metal glows regardless. I guess I'm stickin with pops

Does someone of you experience missing pops above 4000rpm while driving?

I can share mine for the b25 but the throttle hang is almost unbearable.

Revive... Has anyone of you specifically turbo'd guys get any flames at all? The more fuel I dump before overrun, the less noise the car makes. I've tried retarding the fast negative throttle, and only got pops. The only way I got flames before with a turbo was when I had a massive turbo to header leak.

Hi all, especially to you Daniel

i've just received a new DME which has been "cured" from a guy on a local e46 FB page, (he's more geek than me),
i've asked him just to remove ews, limiter @7000, few things considering the i'm running headers, no kat and b30 manifold and obvi pops...
engine pulls a lot more compared to the stock EU2 tune

unfortunately i can't hear anything special, i had more when i was running in super lean condition due to other problems ( one year ago)
he said that he retarded ignition on fast decelerations and that he set pop very "softly" to avoid too much noise...

the real problem is that i'm experiencing a huge rev hang from 6000 to 2500 rpms (range in which usually pops are welcome), only with A/C off (if i turn it on rev hang decrease a lot)
istill have both resonators.. can be this a cause of the silence?

any advices from our guru?
it's an Ms42 on a b28

Just upload the full binary, otherwise it's still guessing.
