Jack points redux

I have done a search on the issue of a "central" jack point and I am still confused.

Some threads talk about a round "plate" that is visible just in front of the hinged door. When I try to jack from this point, it crushes.

Other posts talk about removing the hinged door but then it is not clear at all wherer to jack from there.

I do not want to use the side jack points becausethat's where I want to put my jack stands.

I have seen the photos of the large blue floor jack under the car but the photos are not clear to me because the jack covers up the view of the jacking point.

Net out -- crush away on the circular disc area? Remove the hinged plate?

Thanks for any help.
