Two questions:

1) will this update our s/w to the latest version if we happen to be downlevel
2) now that we are nearing 50, would that drop the price some more (I know someone asked it)

I don't think so. And no, I don't think so. For one, I doubt that 50 will actually follow through and pay. Aside from that, a lot of guys are getting a 50% discount. Already pretty great!

wow, this thread certainly blossomed since I last checked! It's great to see the good response, I wasn't planning on a tune for a bit yet, but it's hard to pass up a deal! =]

My car has the DME programmed with the EU2 standard emissions and I'm not in the US. Possible for me to use this tuning? I'm running on RON95 though and I think its roughly Octane 91 for the US.

Just confirmed with Jean that this is ANY NA tune. So, this includes cat/O2 delete, header tune, cam tune, etc. Normally that'd be $600. Freakin' steal!!!

I have a question regarding the Cat/O2 delete. I'm sorry if this was answered elsewhere.

Does the Cat/O2 delete remove the check engine light only? Or does is also remove the Catalyst and O2 emissions monitors?

If it only removes the CEL, then the emissions monitor could be "not ready" and you wouldn't know it until you either scanned the car manually or you failed an OBD2 inspection.

My car is currently stock but I want to replace the headers later on. I want to be prepared by getting the Cat/O2 delete ahead of time. But I never read what it actually includes.

Thanks in advance, if it has been discuss previously I apologize.

It's been answered twice in the thread, I think.

You'll get "not ready" and you won't pass in TX.

Get an LC-1 and have it give the proper output to the DME. Best way to go.

Ok well thanks for answering it again, I must have skimmed over where it was discussed.

I am familiar with the LC-1. I actually bought one when I was gathering parts to turbocharge my EG Civic a few years back. I ended up selling the car before I installed the turbo. After that, I sold off everything including the LC-1. It was brand new, never installed.

I suppose I should jave kept the LC-1 but at that time I didn't expect to ever need it. Hindsight is 20-20.

If you want power, custom 3-inch. Sound - my favorite is the Rogue Ikon with stock piping.

With headers, most things will be loud. Magnaflow will sound good. Borla, too. Just make sure you get something with a real muffler.

I'm in the same boat myself, sitting on the headers since last Fall, debating exhaust setups. I know Magnaflow still has a header back setup that works for us, but aside from them and AA, I don't know any others (even after thorough searching), hence the suggestions of: full custom, custom pipes plus a can, stock pipes plus a can, or any variation of those.

I think what is missing from this thread is input from AA themselves. I think a NEW thread should be created and all the updated info added, so people can pay, an mark themselves off the list.

$600?

Is this the tune listed on their website for $399?

http://store.activeautowerke.com/act...ware-p126.aspx

I am interested but wondering where the $600 value comes from.

Is there any benefit if you have not done any other mods?

Thanks
