Help with ZHP Price...

I'm in the market for a ZHP. I came across a 2003 45k miles, original owner mint condition. He wants $18k. What do you all think about the price? I do have to travel to it. But I'm very picky, and do want something nice. I only drive about 8k per year, how will the resale be? I keep my cars immaculate.

if you have pics, it wouldn't hurt to post them. 18k may seem a bit pricey for a ZHP

I'm pretty sure that means they've been here since the very beginning. Seen it before.

My Ride: 2005 330i ZHP
Even for the low mileage, it seems a bit high on price. I think it should be more like $15K.

I really like my 2005 ZHP, by the way. I was lucky to find it as a 4 year old with only 32K miles. It now has a bit over 90K.

Biggest thing that I ran into on mine was related to tires. The original equipment Dunlops were junk, even with plenty of tread. A new set of Michelins should correct that.

I would tend to agree with you. I think people expect a premium for the ZHP. Probably why the only ones left for sale are the higher priced ones

Guy is smoking crack. I bought my 2006 M5 for 26K....just saying......8 grand more than what he wants for his E46. The ZHP is not really worth a premium. Also, for that price, you can get a nice M3 E46 loaded!!! Shop around. Resale is dropping to the bottom for E46. No collector value in it either, just saying.

Very optimistic pricing, to be polite, especially for a sedan. That's what showroom condition facelift coupe ZHP's are going for.

Some time after buying my car I found another facelift coupe with 27K miles on it. Original owner and absolutely mint to nitpicker standards for $15K. Honestly, a few months earlier and I probably would have bought it.

Really depends on what you want. Forget realistic resale value though. This will be solely about finding a specific car for a fanatical, er, enthusiast owner.

Yup, probably because of your location. I've seen ton's of clean E92 335's with under 60k miles for 18,000 or less

Check kijiji
Tons of cheap 335i in ontario
Some are low $10k

Rust devalues cars a lot here.

Province of rust buckets.

18k is M3 money. Not sure why anyone would think this is a good price.

Haha no they weren't running in December, 1969. That's the start of the internet as a concept.

$18k is E39 M5 money.

I've seen clean ZHP for sale around $10-12k. Walk and Keep looking

Quality makes a difference. I'd love to see an excellent condition ZHP from the original owner with 45k miles for $10k, or a E39 M5 in excellent condition for $18K.

45k original owner car is a rare find and it will be more expensive.

haha I am not crazy dude. I just bought my E39 M5 with 53k miles on for $18k....And I see them all the time for around that price.

Miles are miles, I've seen some excellent ZHP examples for sale as well. Maybe not with 45k miles but still in very good shape around 12k

I am not going to argue with you, others in this thread have already said its a little overpriced.

I am not sharing an opinion either way but if you think that ZHPs are not selling for prices like that, I suggest you periodically check EAG's website. You may find ZHPs for less but the market does pay prices like he OP is saying.
