19" Wheels.. What tires to buy?

I was seduced during a spending spree by a set of E46 Competition rims. Now that they are here, I'm trying to figure out what tires to buy and I'm concerned maybe I shouldn't have bought these wheels at all.

Are these safe to run on an otherwise stock 2004 330xi (6-speed)? Will they fit without spacers? Other than the reduced ride comfort are they otherwise ok?

Old rims:
36116757042 - BMW LA wheel, double spoke 98 (17x7 ET47)

Old tires:
205/50ZR17

New rims:
36112282895 - OEM E46 M3 Competition alloy wheel (19x8 ET47)

If these are ok, what are the proper tires? Using the TireRack web site, it suggests 235/35ZR19, but I'm not sure if they are ok. Using a tire calculator it only shows a 1mph speedo difference.

Doing searches online, I've heard various talk about suspension problems with xi's and 19" rims. Is any of this true?

Please help stop me from doing something stupid _a_

Not 100% sure but I think they should work. Typically the increase in wheel diameter is offset by a reduction in tire height. The outside diameter should be close. Other than looking ridiculous without a drop, I think they will work.

My Ride: 2001 325XI
I've been running 19's with 235/35-19's for about 7 years (probably only about 50,000 miles) on my 2001 325xi, haven't had any issues yet. It does stiffen the ride a little, but well worth it in my opinion.

I have the same exact rims you got on my 03 330xi, i bought them with 275/35 on the rears which are huge and had to replace the fronts with 245/45 I believe. My speed has not been an issue and I have had no problems after roughly 6 months of running them, ride is a little rough but looks great filling the whole cut out for the wheel or whatever you want to call it
