E46 EWS Toroidal Ring Antenna Holder

I'm not sure if anyone else would have any use for one of these, but I figured I would share it just the same. I wanted to add an EWS and ring antenna to my bench setup so I designed a holder for the antenna.

(Unfortunately it needs rotating before printing. I'll likely update the STL file at some point to fix this)

E46 EWS Toroidal Ring Antenna Holder

Nice, but, the wires to the ring are exposed. I just used a cheap $8 plastic project box. http://www.bmwgm5.com/Images/EWS/EWS_Box_2.jpg

And I mounted a small oscilloscope to the box for troubleshooting EWS communications problems with the keys.

Thanks Scott. I really like the idea of the tiny scope. Can I assume you just have it connected inline between the EWS and the antenna and watching the 125khz AM signal?

Regarding the wires, I actually wanted the connector exposed so I can connect and disconnect it easily. The connectors are cheap enough and I wrap the wires in fuzzy Tesa tape just like a normal wiring loom so there is no need for exposed wires.

Although I will be connecting it to an EWS I also hope to make a small USB adapter that will let me fully charge my keys without having to have everything connected.
