will these work?

Picked up a set of Style 278 today - http://www.bmwstylewheels.com/bmw/278
17x8, 43mm offset, from a 528Xi (I think). $300 for the set with tires, 7/32 tread, seems like a good deal.

They came with Continental tires which are slightly too tall for my 330XI, but I wanted to make sure that the wheels are the correct fit - based on everything I've read, I think so, but the site above does not list this as an e46 application.

Also, any current wisdom on TPMS sensors would be helpful. Mine are dead and this set of wheels did not have them, owner moved them to his other wheels.
Costco can get them but they are around $60ea, and I see OE aftermarket for 100ish at the usual places.

My existing wheels are Style 98, 17x7 with ET47.

According to a wheel offset calculator, the Style 278 will give me 11mm less on the inside of the wheel and extend the outside by 15mm. I'm a bit concerned that these won't work, and perhaps that's the reason I can't find any record of anyone with an E46 using these.

Any opinions? I don't want to go blow money on tires and discover that the wheels won't fit

I ordered a set of tires (225/45/17) into the shop and am going to go for it.
If ANYONE knows why this won't work, please let me know.

I'm hoping the 4mm offset difference is minor enough to work fine, but in the back of my mind there is probably a reason you don't see a lot of 5 series wheels on a 3 series.

Guess I'll answer my own question. Yes, they work.
