Code Reader Questions

I bought the Veepeek module which works great for reading and erasing engine codes. Unfortunately my son's 2004 330ci now has a seatbelt/airbag code. I've already read how to repair it, but I'm looking for the right tool to reset the code. I see most are suggesting using the V 1.4.0 reader(Pa Soft). When I go on ebay, there's a couple options. Some are selling for $100 and some are $20. I selected only the ones that ship from the U.S. so I'm not waiting a month from China. Can anyone tell me if there's a difference in the 2 price points? Has anyone used the cheap version with a poor experience? Will I need anything else besides my laptop?

No price difference. Get the cheapest one you can find
