2001 330ci TEMPORARY Power Steering bypass

This is a terrible first post.
I've got a 01 330ci. I replaced the PS pump in June, and it's messed up again; throws belt, when hand turning pulley it goes about a 1/4 turn and hard stops; if you wiggle it it'll go past the obstruction. then a partial turn later stops again.

The problem is that it's my only transportation right now; I need to get to parts store, a kids doctors appointment, etc. I know people have bypassed PS on this forum before, I KNOW what a pain it will be to drive, but I've done it before intentionally on other, similarly weighted cars; I also NEED to be able to drive it for 2-3 days while I get a replacement pump in. and tensioner + idler pulley for the heck of it.

I measured out the path without power steering pulley on string, and ordered the belt, and it's way too short in real life. Since I apparently have forgotten how to "measure", is there any chance that someone on the forum knows what the right belt length would be? it's NOT 52".

Manual Transmission, no modifications. I forgot that automatics might be different.
