AC Compressor Rattle - is it the compressor or clutch?

I've been researching this for awhile and haven't found any description or video that quite matches what I've got going on.

There's a rattling sound coming from the compressor when it kicks on, sometimes while it's running and sometimes as it's shutting down. It's been happening since I owned the car, doesn't seem to have gotten any worse and not noticeable while driving (only at idle). AC blows cold air.

If this a common issue with the clutch I'd like to know before I investigate further.

Does it look like it has runout? The bearing is replaceable, but I remember the symptoms to that is when the clutch is disengaged.

It doesn't look like it has runout to me, and I can't get the pulley to move when I yank on it. It doesn't make any noise when disengaged....the noise is most noticeable when it's engaging and disengaging with occasional rattling while engaged. I'm inclined to think it's the compressor but there's no science behind my thinking.

I replaced the tensioner and belt, still makes the rattling sound when the compressor kicks on and sometimes when it kicks off- so it has to be either the compressor or the clutch. If anyone has had the same issue and figured out what it was please let me know.
