325i Transmission has stopped making noise

I know this title may look pretty weird, but when I bought the car about a year ago the transmission would always make like a gliding sound and a click to indicate that it is in gear. I recently replaced my clutch, and it was making the same sounds as normal. However, today I noticed that it has stopped making noise altogether and is completely silent. I probably look like a moron, but this e46 is the only manual I have ever had so I don't really know what is normal, and what isn't as far as sounds go. Thanks for the replies in advance.
