Hi guys, Ive upgraded my susp with lowering springs. I told the store I just want a mild drop so the store installed H&R part# 29485. The drop for this model is 1.4 Front and .75 Rear. But by the look of it in this picture the Front drop is more than 1.4. The tire is actually tucked in the fender. It is too low.

I kinda like the look but the problem is I keep on scraping the bottom when Im not too careful driving over humps.

I actually saw the shop guy installed 29485 on the rears but I didnt see what was installed up front because I was busy talking on the cellphone when they were doing the front. They may have installed something else ..maybe a cheaper or (horrors) a used pair other than 29485 in the front. Just an FYI the shop sells new and used springs/struts/shocks combos.

What can I do to raise the front?

You can install different springs, or strut tower spacers.

I have H&R Sport as well. That drops looks correct. It's 1,4" if you have sport suspension, but over 2,2" if you don't! The problem with your car though are not the springs, but the tire. It's a 235/45r17 up front as far as I can tell. That is too big. You need a 225/45r17 to achieve the correct rolling diameter of 25". Alternatively you can go with a 245/40r17 or 255/40r17.

OP, what year and model E46 do you have?
From your photo, it looks like you have a pre-facelift sedan.
If it came with the sports suspension option (code S226A), then the drop would be around 1.4".
If it came without sports suspension, then it's closer to 2.5"

Those tires are a little big but I just swapped out my H&R's because it dropped too low. Less than 20,000 miles on them. Gave'em away...

Can someone please show or tell me the right front strut towerspacers to buy for my car. I really need to raise the front a bit by say .5 to 1 in. It would be a huge difference for my driving experience

E46s had an optional Rough Road Package, which included front strut tower reinforcement plates and a strut spacer.

#12 in the diagram

Finding a pair of those would be the OEM route. There seems to be no name strut spacers out there, amazon, ebay etc.

I think we are making this more complicated than it needs to be. Trying to source obscure oem parts etc..

I think the correct answer is put in different springs. That would be the most straight forward, easy to source and economical solution.

agreed different springs is whatís needed.

although used spacers taken off an Xi from owner who wanted to lower their car isnít that futile a search for cheap. the plus is that he wouldnít have to get a spring compressor (and labor) to change out front springs again.

negatives: the front will raise and tilt the rear down further. possibly needing thicker rear spring pads to balance stance.
other might be the spacers raise front more than desired.
