CCFL vs. LED Halos

So im trying to decide between the two. The LED halos are back ordered until end of the month and are also $200.00 as opposed to $50.00 (on clearance). I have almost all other LED upgrades but things are getting expensive. Should I wait on LED for $200 or just get CCFL for $50?

Any opinions or stories?

LEDS = brighter, less problems

CCFLs = dated, not as bright, known for problems with ballasts and bulbs cracking, cold start issue

CCFL = Ballasts = Suck

I made the switch from CCFL to LED and I haven't looked back since. I love the LED style.

Just put in my LEDs a few days ago. Got them cheap since most people are trying to make room for the 60s and 80s. I had CCFLs since I have owned my car (person I bought from had them and never installed). Will never go back

Question for you:
Are boobs and hands polarly charged, thus causing the inevitable joining of the two? If so are some breasts simply charged backwards?

On a scale from 0 to 24...wait, 3 to 24, where 6 is the lowest and 12 is the highest, how freaking high re you right now?

She's got you high, and you don't even know yet.

One thing that I didn't like about my ccfl was that in the daytime it was not that obvious. I'm excited to see how much the 80 LED stands out in the daytime.

Even the ~60 LED facelift coupe angel eyes are really bright in the daylight! See sig, that is the dimmest I have ever seen them during the day. The photo was taken in broad daylight, with light reflecting off the snow

I have CCFLs on my car cause it came with them, I had some ballast problems but I replaced and hard wired them and have had no problems since. However for a new install, LEDs all the way, so much easier to wire.

I'll say it..LED halos are rice on a BMW. There it's done..cat is out of the bag.
CCFL in dayglow colors is even worse.
If you want the best looking halos for your BMW as BMW invented and intended, get something that is or looks like oem.

If it comes down to pricing for you..and you prefer the Light Emitting Diodes, then just spend the extra and buy them now. Enjoy your mod and don't worry about having to buy another set until the next craze of lights comes out.
..Like flashing LEDs that spell your name or spell "Move Over".
