Black Air : a Buick Grand National film

This was the muscle car from my youth.
It's interesting to see a film about it now... in 2012.

Synopsis
It was a strange and curious misfit. Though born a Buick, the Grand National was clearly something else. It was too quick and too brutish to carry that stodgy name. There was something inside the car trying to get out.

In theaters: December 11th, 2012

I almost got one in high school (till report cards came out.)

I am pretty sure that they made a sleeper version of that car also.

Like a Regal Turbo or something.

They were extremely fast (under 5 sec 0-60) for an under 300hp car.

Regal T-Type. But they weren't the same. It had a 3.8 v6 and turbo in it, but the GNX was a couple levels up the performance pole. Important to differentiate between the GN and the GNX as well.

Or how about the SUV variant?

Hey guys, let's throw that GNX motor in a Jimmy. That'll work, right?

What's the difference between the regular grand national and regal turbo?

It spank the vette in the quarter mile and GM had to up the Vette's game after that.
