Just looked into this and it seems all m3's and coupes have colour matched strips. I think later model sedans had an option for colour matched strips.

Op the car looks awesome with the current tint. Do what feels right to you, if tint's not your style then remove it.

I would not do tint on any E46, regardless of color. But ESPECIALLY white.

Keep it pure, keep it clean, keep it high end! On an E46, nothing screams cheapo used car gangster used car more than tint, particularly at this stage of the E46

First Bimmer..."Miss December"...2000 323i, purchased Dec. 2013 w/82K on the clock. PM thus far...pads/rotors, belts/pulleys, complete CS overhaul, FCABs, plugs, autotranny/differential service, fuel pump, filter, and relay. Full front end refresh with LCAs and bushings, struts and mounts, inner/outer tie rods, sway bar endlinks and bushings.

You could always get Huper Optik Ceramic. It even comes in 95%. I that can even be placed on the windshield (I have it on my windshield). Even with that much transmission it cuts IR and UV by something like 50%.
