Nah, it's an LS swap.

How long have you had it? What was cost of mods, maintenance, and repairs separately. Just Courious

While learning about my wonderful engine today I found this. I'm posting it because someone tried to tell me there is not a power increase just because the engine runs cooler I say ha to that.

This is the number one reason to run ethanol. Anyone saying there's no power gain from lower temps is a noob

I wish...my friend built his e30 with s52 swap and turboed for $8000, and its putting about 550hp to the wheels.

I've had it for almost 4 years
Mods wise I spent about $3000
Repairs I spent about $4,400, I factor in the cost to repair my car due to an accident as well.
And everything else is maintenance

Ugh I could have bought an m3 with all this money I spent

To a certain point...an engine is designed to run at a specific temperature. My Wrangler did not like having a cooler thermostat in it and ran better with a stock temp thermostat in it.

And did you read that in context? It's stating how BMW engineers optimized the cooling system to get the most performance out of the M52TU. Go cooling things down and you will be getting the engine out of its designed/optimized temperature zone. Head cooler, block hotter, engineered to be better. Not to be screwed with.

Went to Safelite to get a new window after parking my car on Georgia Avenue in DC. While I have extolled the need to insist on OE glass for a windshield, I found that the OEM (Sekurit, no logo) glass for the windows is great. Safelite did such a good job, they properly adjusted the window regulator (the shop that replaced the regulator didn't do it right), and managed to get rid of the rattle that door was making. So that's awesome.

Finished re painting my e46. No idea why my m-tech 2 bumper isn't on. I've got many more clean mods coming

Put in the BMW OEM rear manual sun blind and rear window shades. Washed and put on a fresh coat of Mother's carnauba wax.

I put Walmart ATF fluid in the PS resevoir.

Also installed the Dayco 89133 pulley for the AC tensioner.
