The best part of the Sportback is you can easily put a mountain bike in it without taking it apart.

If I was in the market, I really liked the loaded Q8 I saw. It was loaded in the gunmetal color, with the big brakes and the fancy lad headlights, and it looked stunning.

MEh

All cars today are just Meh. What you really need if you want 4 doors is what I have in my sig and SLVR JDM has in his....

And you can obtain one with pretty low miles for mid-upper 20's then dump another 20 grand into making it YOURS. Then never touch it ever again as it's the most bulletproof ultimate highway driving machine that was ever made.

Heís referring to an e39 M5.

Just what the jet setting Solly needs, a car he is not sure will start after being away a week or two.

You should buy e46 because...

1) it has properly sized kidney grilles
2) you can afford to maintain it
3) something about twisties

Very few people in the OT section of this forum have an E46 because...

1.) It's 15 years old at best
2.) It's expensive to maintain relative to the cost of the car
3.) It's slower than a modern 4cyl camry

4.) Solly can probably afford to drive anything he wants.
5.) Ed's attempt at an e46 joke swings and misses.

Ha! what you talkin bout Willis #2? My car has started every single day since I bought it 2 years ago. I just wouldn't leave it alone for two weeks and then go try to start it.

HA

Na, in all reality, it's no E46. The E39 starts and demands to be driven, it does not ever want to have a shaky idle like an E46, or random misfires upon startup that then magically go away.

Solly, you should go buy that pinnacle un-used E39 M5 that sold for like $175K and then drive the piss out of it, never ever wash it, and drive it till it begs for work, then drive it some more. Just cuz.

I still have my 05 M3. No reason to change and it's been pretty reliable, fun to drive. Gas mileage isn't the best but it's not a daily either so it evens out.

Look at that subtle jet-black coloring. The tasteful thickness of it. Oh my God, it even has a 6mt.

Seriously? What kind of sh1tboxes are you guys driving? Both the VW and Jeep have sat for 3-4 weeks and all I had to do was get in and turn the key/push the start button and they both fired up without an issue. Even the S2000 sat for nearly a month with no ill effects. I did hook that one up to a tender for the winter but that's 6-7 months of idle time.

E46 M3 is the only E46 worth buying today unless you're in the market for a beater.
