FOR RENT: Clutch tools

Send a deposit (PayPal, Zelle, PopMoney) and I'll ship it out USPS Priority Mail. Ship the tool back to me undamaged via Priority Mail, postmarked within two weeks and I'll refund most of the deposit. $5/day after two weeks. If you're in the Bay Area I can probably meet you somewhere (excluding peninsula and south bay). If you want to rent multiple tools, PM me and we'll figure out a cheaper rate.

OTC 7318 Deposit: $100. Refund: $75. Net: $25. If you're doing a clutch or pulling the transmission and want to change the pilot bearing, you can go the BMW official route and use a slide hammer (no fun), pack the bearing with grease, bread, water, etc. and clean it up, or you can try one of these dealies. If you have the factory ZF six speed (late model 330s) you won't have a pilot bearing in the crank and won't need this tool.

BMW 83-30-0-490-822 (11 2 170) - Deposit: $75. Refund: $55. Net: $20. Flywheel lock. BMW lists this for the M62/S62 V8s, but it works just fine on the sixes (M52/54/56) and V8s.

BMW 83-30-0-491-018 (11 4 180) - Deposit: $75. Refund: $55. Net: $20. Narrow shank T60 TORX bit for the captive M62/S62 flywheel bolts. Post 2003 E46 flywheels use T60 bolts too but you will be better served by using a normal, shallower, T60 bit.

I'll get some of my own photos of the tool up soonish for those who like that sort of thing.

Standard exceptions apply: lightly grease/oil the threads before use, don't use impact tools, and the tool must be returned undamaged. You break it you bought it. Evidence of using impact tools forfeits your deposit. Send some clear pictures of the tool before you ship it back.
