M54B30 Swap Into 325xit, Clutch Kits

Looking for a clutch kit and from what I have seen on RealOEM, the 330xi and the 325xi use the same kit 212 1752 8211.

However over on FCPEuro they show the above part # only for the 330xi. The 325xi gets a 212 0753 1556 kit which is also the kit for the 330i (rwd).

So, I'm wondering if FCP got it wrong for clutch kits.

Back on RealOEM for the pilot bearing in the back of the crankshaft, it looks like the 330xi and 325xi have different part numbers. The dimensions of the 330xi bearing are shown as 15x24x26 and the 325xi bearing is 15x32x10 of which 15 is the bearing ID and 32 is the OD. I can't get my calipers into the back of the M54B30 crank as the engine is on a stand.

I will be reusing the 325xi 5 speed. The M54B30 is a ZHP out of an auto trans rwd car.

Thanks for any info.

I'll measure the crank on an M54B30 in about an hour and get back to you, assuming it's still necessary.

What year is your xi?

For example, per RockAuto, which is 99% correct:

LUK03059 Clutch kit fits:
BMW 325XI 2004-2005
BMW 330CI 2004-2005
BMW 330I 2004-2007
BMW 530I 2004-2005
BMW X3 2004-2005
BMW Z4 2003-2011

LUK03076 fits:
BMW 330XI 2004-2005
BMW X3 2004-2005

If we go for years 2001 to 03, then:
LUK03048 Clutch kit fits JUST 330xi

LUK03049 fits:
BMW 325XI 2001-2003
BMW 330CI 2001-2006
BMW 330I 2001-2003
BMW 530I 2001-2003
BMW Z3 2001-2002

The trans dictates the clutch and flywheel and not the motor. When I did my m54b30 swap I upgraded the flywheel and clutch to the bigger luk 6 speed parts only when I settled on using an x3 6 speed trans. Before that I was planning on keeping the old clutch setup. In fact I had bought a new clutch (oem 325xi) that I had assembled but I had to remove it and sell it because I was now swapping to 6 speed.

So if you are keeping your old trans, AFAIK, you need to use your old flywheel and clutch.

If you upgraded to a 6 speed trans, you need a 6 speed flywheel and clutch
